Previously , NTel announced a full national
roaming agreement with 9mobile ( Ntel Picks MTN NG as Second Partner for National Roaming ), where the roaming field trial was slated to run from December
2017 till the end of February, 2018.> Now, the popular 4G LTE broadband operator—Ntel is planning to collaborate again with MTN Nigeria, one of the leading Telecom operators in the country, to roll out national roaming service in April.
According to a Ntel correspondent at NITRA,“this roll-out will be in collaboration with two foremost operators, 9mobile Nigeria and MTN Nigeria; the service is expected to roll out in quarter two, April tobe specific. Partnership with 9mobile which has 2G/3G will help customers to enjoy the best data with good speed.
“The planned roll-out with 9mobile is on commercial decision stage since the field trial has been successfully conducted, while MTN has agreed with the collaboration, and will be going for a trial period with ntel.
This partnership will help these carriers become efficient and run less cost with the 4G roll-out.
Benefit of Ntel Roaming on 9Mobile and MTN
*.nTel subscriber will be able to use 4G services anywhere there is 9mobile and MTN coverage once test is complete.

Ntel started operation on Friday April 8, 2016, and they boast of an advanced mobile 4G/LTE network on the 900/1800 Mhz frequency bands which offers subscribers data, voice, and video serviceswith 72 percent coverage in Lagos, 9% in Abuja and 60% in Port Harcourt.
On the other hand, 9Mobile is the 4th largest telco network in Nigeria with over 18 million active subscribers, while MTN is the number one operator in Nigeria with about 52million subscribers.
This partnership will surely benefit all parties, including the users.
